This Privacy Policy explains how Macsapparels (also known as Macs Apparels & Accessories) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit macsapparels.com, place an order, join our newsletter, or contact our customer care team. We wrote it in plain English so you can understand exactly what happens to your data and what choices you have.

Macsapparels is an online discounted clothing and accessories store based in Atlanta, GA 30326, United States. When this policy says "Macsapparels," "we," "us," or "our," it means the business that operates https://macsapparels.com. When it says "you" or "your," it means any visitor or customer who uses our website. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

We collect only the personal information we need to run our store, ship your orders, and improve your shopping experience. Broadly, this falls into three groups: information collected automatically when you browse, information you give us when you place an order, and information you choose to share with us in other ways.

Device Information (collected automatically)

When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain information about your device. We refer to this as "Device Information." It can include:

  • Your web browser type and version, operating system, and screen size
  • Your IP address and approximate location derived from it (city or region, not your street address)
  • The time zone and language settings of your device
  • Some of the cookies installed on your device
  • The individual pages and products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to us, and how you interact with the site (for example, clicks, scrolling, and time on page)

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • Cookies are small data files placed on your device or computer. They often include an anonymous unique identifier. Our Cookie Policy explains the specific cookies we use and how to control them.
  • Browser local storage keeps items such as your shopping cart and wishlist on your own device so they are still there when you return.
  • Log files track actions occurring on the site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
  • Web beacons, tags, and pixels are small electronic files used to record information about how you browse the site and whether you opened an email we sent.

Order Information (provided by you)

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase, we collect certain information from you. We refer to this as "Order Information." It includes:

  • Your name
  • Billing address and shipping address
  • Payment information (such as card details), which is processed by our payment providers
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • The items you ordered, order totals, and your order and tracking numbers

Other information you share with us

  • Account and rewards details: if you create an account or join Mac's Rewards or Mac's Referral, we keep your login email, reward balance, referral activity, and order history.
  • Customer care communications: messages, photos, and call notes you provide when you contact us, for example when you report a wrong or damaged item.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: the email address you submit to receive offers and style updates.
  • Reviews and feedback: product reviews, survey answers, and other content you post or send to us.

Together, we refer to Device Information, Order Information, and the other information above as "Personal Information" in this policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use the Order Information we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the site. That includes processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices, order confirmations, and tracking numbers. More specifically, we use Personal Information to:

  • Process, ship, and deliver your orders and give you an order number and tracking number
  • Communicate with you about your order, your account, and your customer care requests
  • Screen orders for potential risk or fraud and protect our customers and our business
  • Handle reports of wrong, damaged, or undelivered items and issue replacements or refunds under our Refund & Returns Policy
  • Run Mac's Rewards and Mac's Referral, including tracking points and referral credits
  • Send you information or advertising about our products and services, in line with the preferences you have shared with us
  • Improve and optimize the site, for example by understanding which pages and products are most popular and how customers navigate the store
  • Assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your Personal Information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.

Our store is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for US shoppers. If you visit from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR require us to explain the legal basis we rely on for each use of your information. We rely on:

  • Performance of a contract: to process your order, take payment, ship your items, and handle wrong or damaged item claims.
  • Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud, secure our site, understand how the site is used, and improve our products and service, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: to send marketing emails and to place non-essential analytics and marketing cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. See How to Exercise Your Rights below.

How We Share Your Information

We share Personal Information only with trusted parties who help us run the store, and only to the extent they need it to do their job. We require these service providers to protect your information and to use it only on our behalf.

Service providers

  • Payment processors that securely handle your card or wallet payments. We do not store your full card number on our own systems.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners that need your name, shipping address, and phone number to deliver your package and provide tracking.
  • Website hosting and technology providers that host our site, store data, and keep our systems running.
  • Email and communication providers that send order confirmations, shipping updates, and newsletters on our behalf.
  • Analytics providers that help us understand how customers use the site.
  • Fraud prevention tools that help us spot suspicious orders.

Other situations

  • Legal compliance: we may share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or to otherwise protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent: we may share information for other purposes when you ask us to or agree to it.

We do not sell your personal information. Macsapparels does not sell Personal Information for money, and we do not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in a way that would count as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law without giving you a way to opt out.

Analytics and Behavioral Advertising

Analytics

We use analytics tools to help us understand how our customers use the site, for example which categories such as Women or Accessories are visited most, where visitors leave the site, and which devices they use. These tools may set cookies and collect Device Information. We use this aggregated information to fix problems, improve page layouts, and stock more of what our customers want. You can opt out of analytics cookies through our cookie consent banner or your browser settings.

Behavioral advertising

We may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may interest you, such as reminders about products you viewed. These ads may appear on other websites or social media platforms. You can opt out of targeted advertising by:

  • Declining marketing cookies in our cookie consent banner
  • Adjusting the ad settings on the social media platforms you use
  • Using industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal or the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page
  • Enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in a supported browser, which we treat as a request to opt out of sale or sharing where required by law

Cookies Summary

We use cookies and similar technologies in four main categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to work, such as remembering your cookie consent choice and keeping checkout secure.
  • Preferences: remember your cart and wishlist (stored in your browser's local storage) and display settings.
  • Analytics: help us measure traffic and improve the site.
  • Marketing: help us show relevant ads and measure campaign results.

Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent. For a full list, typical durations, and step-by-step instructions to manage cookies in your browser, please read our Cookie Policy.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, we do not currently alter our data collection and use practices when we detect a DNT signal from your browser. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing where state law requires it, and you can always manage cookies yourself using the options described in our Cookie Policy.

California and Other US State Privacy Rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of information we collect (California)

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information described in the CCPA: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), customer records (billing and shipping address, payment details), commercial information (purchase history), internet or network activity (browsing and interaction data), and approximate geolocation. We collect these from you directly and from your device, for the business purposes described in How We Use Your Information, and we disclose them to the service providers listed in How We Share Your Information.

Your California rights

  • Right to know: you can ask what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to, and request a copy of specific pieces of information.
  • Right to delete: you can ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes or fraud prevention).
  • Right to correct: you can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information. If any of our advertising activities are considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, you can opt out by declining marketing cookies, enabling Global Privacy Control, or contacting us.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you different prices, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Residents of other US states

Residents of several other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others with comprehensive privacy laws, may have similar rights. Depending on where you live, these can include the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Obtain a portable copy of your personal data
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling

If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response email with the word "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within the time required by your state's law. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To make a privacy request, contact us using either method below. Please tell us what you are asking for (for example, "access," "delete," or "correct") and the state or country where you live.

  • Email: [email protected] (subject line: "Privacy Request")
  • Phone: +1 404-702-6379, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET

Verification

To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on most requests. We usually do this by matching the email address and order details you provide with what we have on file. We will never ask for your full card number or password.

Response timeline

  • We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days.
  • We will respond to US state privacy requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend this by up to another 45 days and will tell you why.
  • We will respond to GDPR and UK GDPR requests within 30 days (one month), which may be extended by up to two further months for complex requests, with notice.

Requests are free of charge unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Marketing Emails and Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter or agree to receive marketing at checkout, we will send you emails about new arrivals, sales, and Mac's Rewards offers. You can unsubscribe at any time by:

  1. Clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or
  2. Emailing [email protected] with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.

We process unsubscribe requests promptly, generally within 10 business days. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we will still send transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and responses to your support requests.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. These include:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site
  • Payment processing handled by dedicated payment providers, so full card numbers are not stored on our servers
  • Access to customer data limited to people who need it to do their jobs
  • Strong passwords and account protections for our internal systems
  • Regular review of the service providers we work with

No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account and contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

Data Retention and International Transfers

How long we keep your information

When you place an order through the site, we will keep your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. In general:

  • Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, typically up to seven years.
  • Account and rewards information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a record that you opted out so we do not email you again.
  • Analytics data is kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form for a limited period, usually no longer than 26 months.
  • Customer care records, including damage photos, are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and any related payment disputes.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK authorities.

Minors and Children's Privacy

The site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order, or use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may also notify you by email or with a notice on the site.
